Jakarta, June 20, 2017 – In an effort to participate in national development, PT Cemindo Gemilang, the producer of Semen Merah Putih, signed a Cooperation Agreement today with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to support the Bedah Rumah (Home Renovation) Program.
Bedah Rumah is a program by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government aimed at renovating uninhabitable houses owned by underprivileged residents within the province. In 2017, the program is focused on the Cilincing Subdistrict, North Jakarta Administrative City, covering 83 housing units across the RW.02 and RW.03 neighborhoods.
This program involves the PPSU Team (Infrastructure and Public Facilities Maintenance) from Cilincing, builders from Tata Logam for the structural installation and construction process, and builders from Semen Merah Putih for the finishing process (plastering and painting), which is part of the “Semen Merah Putih Untuk Negeri” CSR program.
The first phase of the finishing process will take place on July 11, 2017, coinciding with a working visit by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the North Jakarta Local Government. Supported by CSR from Semen Merah Putih, Tata Logam, and Avi Avian, the Bedah Rumah program is targeted for completion by October 10, 2017, and will be inaugurated by Governor Djarot Syaiful Hidayat.
“Through the collaboration of the ‘Bedah Rumah’ and ‘Semen Merah Putih Untuk Negeri’ programs, we hope to participate in the success of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s initiative to provide a better life for Cilincing residents through home renovations,” said Andre Vincent Wenas, Director of PT Cemindo Gemilang.
“Semen Merah Putih Untuk Negeri” is a CSR program conducted by PT Cemindo Gemilang to contribute to national development. In line with its tagline as the “Strong Foundation for the Nation's Future,” Semen Merah Putih consistently strives to provide a solid foundation for the country, both through physical construction and infrastructure as well as community development.
Specifically for the Bedah Rumah program, “Semen Merah Putih Untuk Negeri” is providing 100 tons of Semen Merah Putih and 30 builders for the finishing process.
Semen Merah Putih itself is a premium quality cement that ensures stronger and more durable building results, produced in accordance with Indonesian quality standards (SNI 7064:2014). It is available in major cities across Indonesia in 40 kg and 50 kg bags, as well as in bulk.
