Jakarta, 10 June 2013 – Today Semen Merah Putih held a media gathering to announce their latest initiative in appreciating the retailers: Semen Merah Putih Karnaval. This carnival was held in Medan, Jakarta, and Banten. This initiative indicates a stronger position of PT Cemindo Gemilang, which is the brand holder of Semen Merah Putih established in 2011, to set a new benchmark in cement industry in Indonesia.
Semen Merah Putih has fully committed in producing high quality products which are environmental friendly, affordable for all people, and always available in the market. At this moment, Semen Merah Putih is available in three types of products:
Portland Composite Cement ( PCC )which is produced based on SNI 15-7064-2004 standard and available in 40 kg and 50 kg packaging.
Ordinary Portland Cement ( OPC ) jwhich is available in bulk packaging based on SNI 15-2049-2004. Both OPC type I and PPC are designed for general construction works such as: precast concrete, concrete panel, paving block, etc .
Ready mix concrete, a ready-to-use concrete product which is produced in various level of quality for various applications based on consumer's requests.
To fulfill various general construction needs in Indonesia, Semen Merah Putih production is based on Indonesia National Standard SNI 15-7064-2004.
Semen Merah Putih is currently building the biggest clinker capacity plant in Indonesia with clinker's production capacity of 10,000 tons per day (or equal to 12,500 tons cement per day) in Bayah (Banten) by using latest technology machine. This plant will have a complete and sophisticated supply chain process, starting from production process to having its own port, referring to green plant concept which is environmental and social friendly. Other than the plant in Bayah, a grinding plant located in Ciwandan is also in construction process and is ready to operate in 2013. The needs of customer's Semen Merah Putih in Indonesia is currently fulfilled from the Chinfon Cement Corporation which is located in Vietnam with production capacity of 4.5 million tons of cement per year. Therefore, other than complying with Indonesia National Standard specifications, Semen Merah Putih also conforms to European standard EN 197-1:2000. For PCC type, Semen Merah Putih also meets the performance standards EN 197-1:2000 CEM II/A-M 42.5N. While for OPC type, Semen Merah Putih meets the performance standards of EN 197-1:2000 CEM and ASTM C150 type I.
The event Semen Merah Putih Karnaval is an initiative from Semen Merah Putih to show appreciation to all retailers of Semen Merah Putih. This carnival is held in Medan on June 21st 2013, in Jakarta on June 15th 2013, and Banten on June 2nd 2013. In this carnival, Semen Merah Putih welcomed the retailers and their families to enjoy the weekend and participate in interesting and entertaining attractions. It wasn't surprising then that the smiles of joy and laughter can be seen on the faces of every visitor there.
