PT Cemindo Gemilang had finished the construction of Semen Merah Putih plant located in Ciwandan, Cilegon, Banten. All the machines and supporting equipments of cement production have been installed since January 2014.
Currently the final stage of completion is being done,â€Â said the Director of PT Cemindo Gemilang, Aan Selamat, during his field trip to Ciwandan plant a couple time ago.
Semen Merah Putih Plant in Ciwandan will have the production capacity of 750,000 tons of cement per year and it is the first grinding plant of Semen Merah Putih operating in Indonesia. In the field trip, a demonstration of grinding mill which functions as main instrument of clinker grinding to become cement was also performed.
The Semen Merah Putih cement plant in Ciwandan is a form of commitment of Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors of PT Cemindo Gemilang to contribute in fulfilling cement demand in Indonesia which keeps increasing. This year the cement demand is predicted nationally will reach more than 60 million tons. This amount is predicted to increase to more than 70 million tons in 2015.

Aan explains that Semen Merah Putih plant construction is a continuation from a successful program to introduce Semen Merah Putih product to the society since 2012. Currently, through market penetration test using imported cement product from Vietnam, PT Cemindo Gemilang has been successful in placing Semen Merah Putih as premium high quality cement with competitive price.
Therefore, Aan requested to keep maintaining the product quality of Semen Merah Putih. A tight Quality control control will be our main attention in Cemindo Gemilang. The goal is so that our first plant in Indonesia is able to produce high quality premium cement, said Aan.
At the same time Semen Merah Putih is building integrated plant in Bayah. Our integrated cement plant in Bayah is currently in construction process, said Aan. The plant in Bayah, Banten will later be an integrated plant with production capacity up to 10,000 tons of clinker per day or 4 million tons of cement per year.
