Lately, a lot of people are using fire-resistant building materials as it could minimize the risk of fire. Before starting a construction process, you may consider using these materials to increase the safety of your building:

1. Fireproof Glass
Fireproof glass is a special type of glass consisted of two parts, an outer layer and an inner layer. This type of glass is made of tempered glass, which is four times stronger than the usual glass. In case of fire, the outer layer will collapse before the inner layer. This will help extend fire penetration time and therefore reduces the risk of fire hazard.

 2. Concrete
Concrete is a fire-resistant building material that is often used for construction because of its durability. Concrete is also more resistant to fire than steel because it takes a long time for heat to go through it. Because of its strength, concrete is often used to protect steel in building structures as a safety measure for the possibility of fire.

3. Gypsum
Gypsum might look fragile, but this material has high level of fire resistance. Some gypsum types consist of chemical liquid that could slow down the burning and fire spreading process. Furthermore, the smooth and neat texture of gypsum makes it suitable to use for finishing in buildings.

Those are the materials that you should consider using to increase your building’s safety. In addition, you also should pay attention to the cement used as a main material of building construction. For stronger and more durable buildings, make sure to use premium quality cement, such as Semen Merah Putih.
